Camden Yards

Camden Yards in Baltimore is one of several stadiums that are homes to baseball teams only. While other teams are housed in stadiums designed for football, basketball, or soccer to be joined by baseball, Camden Yards was deliberately built for fans (just over 48,000 of them as a matter of fact) and players to enjoy a purely Major League Baseball experience.  The Baltimore Orioles play their home games at Camden Yards. Cal Ripken, Jr., the infamous Raphael Palmeiro, and Steve Trachsel are just a few of the great names to play in this fabled ballpark, and up-and-comers like Luis Hernandez and Melvin Mora will soon make history of their own here. Originally built as a replacement for Memorial Park, Camden Yards was built in 1992 and was the stadium that began the rush of many MLB teams to build new stadiums of their own. It has a historic look to it, and remains one of the most fan-friendly stadiums in the American League to this day. Although the home team O’s do not often put a “W” on the board, fans still enjoy packing into this legendary stadium.
