Going online and purchasing tickets was simply a great treat after the years of standing in line in the elements. I could decide where I wanted to sit instead of taking what came my way in line. One of the best concerts I’ve seen in a long time was a Tom Petty Concert. Here’s some information about Tom Petty.
Tom Petty was born October 20, 1950 as Thomas Earl Petty in Gainesville , Florida .
He began his career working with The Sundowners, the Epics and Mudcrutch. He began Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in the 1970s.
His albums with the Heartbreakers include: Musicians United for Safe Energy (1979), Hard Promises (1981), Long After Dark (1982), Into the Great Wide Open (1991), soundtrack to She’s the One (1996); Echo (1999); The Last DJ (2002)
Petty and the Heartbreakers are still on tour to this day and are playing the United States through at least August 2008.
