Another industry has been positively affected by the Internet age. It's the secondary ticket market. Many new reputable online businesses now buy and sell tickets to sports, theater and concert fans all over North America. It has now become unbelievably easy to find and buy tickets to just about any event you want to attend, even if the event is sold out. For example, the New England Patriots have been sold out for years and every upcoming game is sold out too. Or major national concert tours and reunions such as The Police and Van Halen sell out their concerts immediately on going on sale. But now, because of the secondary ticket market, anyone can buy tickets to sold out games or concerts. Of course they'll have to pay a premium, but at least they can have the opportunity to go, and not take the chance of getting ripped off by a scalper.
